On February 19th 2026, the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International (COFI) marked a significant milestone as it celebrated 10 years of the COFI Scholarship Initiative with a global press conference held at water falls event center, Lagos Nigeria.

The highly Esteemed Pastor Ifeoma Chiemeka; director of the COFI Scholarship In her address, emphasized that the COFI Scholarship Initiative was established as a deliberate and structured response to a pressing need to expand access to quality education to deserving young minds, to eliminate financial barriers and to position education as a catalyst for sustainable transformation.
She highlighted that "Education is not Charity, Education is strategic empowerment" and that " When you invest in a child's education, you are not merely funding tuition, you are building leadership capacity, strengthening economic resilience, expanding opportunities, ecosystems and influencing generational outcomes.
